Sorry Imani. Here is my reading list.
Somerset Maugham:
Of Human Bondage
The Razor's Edge
Cakes and Ale
The Painted Veil
D.H. Lawrence
Lady Chatterley's Lover
Sons and Lovers
Possibly some of his short novels or stories
Christina Stead
The Man Who Loved Children
My problem with reading is that I always bite off more than I can chew, so we'll see how far I get. I also saw tons more on the list of possiblities that sparked my interest. Books, eh?

No, no, no, no apologising! Sweet of you but completely unnecessary. All I wanted to know was that if you wanted the invite you got it, and if you didn't want posting privileges I wouldn't have to worry that you were feeling left out.
How "vocal" your participation in this challenge is is completely up to you.
Now, your choices: I like the Christina Stead. Truly there are so many authors I want to try...should have made this one longer.
Welcome (with grand pomp and circumstance and a relieved hug) the "bite-off-more-than-I-can-chew" boat! We'll see if I even manage to read one. Meanwhile, your list looks great. I'm extremely impressed by anyone who chooses to tackle D.H. Lawrence.
Enjoy all those Maugham books! And the Lawrence, and the Stead ones -- it all looks great.
Thanks for the welcome. I read, and loved, "Women In Love" but never tried any other Lawrence.
Maugham, on the other hand, will be a complete surprise to me, but I wanted to get to his stuff for years.
