Di...I read this book in '07 and really enjoyed it. Didn't you just want to shake Philip whenever Mildred came around again? I sometimes wished that I could sit down with him and have a heart-to-heart. "Philip, don't you see what she's doing?" I guess that that is what makes it such a good book.
